Genius movie Review : Father and son duo rocks | Bollywood gets a perfect new face in the name of Utkarsh ..!

Bollywood director Anil Sharma launched his son Utkarsh with a sci-fi action thriller film called Genius. The movie revolves around a prodigy who can solve Rubik cubes in seconds to save lives and can save RAW from getting hacked . An IITian who joins RAW to save the country with his extraordinary skills .

Father Anil sharma makes a perfect commercial film for his son Utkarsh , who also deliver a great performance in the film . Here is a detail analysis of the film -

WHY TO WATCH THE FILM ??

There are several reasons to watch the film provided below :

1. A complete entertainer , tons of punchlines and dialogues  , high voltage action (respects gravitational concept ). Catchy dialogues both by Nawazzudin siddiqui and Utkarsh sharma made audience smile , laugh , connect and kept audience engaged .Dialogues like : " dil ki ladai dimag se" and "dil se main khelta nahi aur dimag se main khelne deta nahi.." were awesome . Some more dialogues are :

 There were many dialogues which were way catchy and  enjoyable. Hatts off to the dialogue creator.Utkarsh was way brilliant in delivering dialogues which consisted of facts and were long. On the other hand Nawaz bhai dialogues were funny as well as he delivered them with the most unique way .

2 . It is partially a sci-fi film . It has made brilliant use of science which are basics and understandable also it appeals the intellectual audience . The logic's were great and many facts were provided like why the bomb cannot be detected , lead use  etc. The film also conveys message to respect Indian Vedas , Sanskrit and primitive people .

3.  There is college romance in the first half . The way Utkarsh flirts Ishita is adorable. Cheesy lines and humour makes the film interesting . Though romance is focused less but it makes the film more awesome .

4 .   Utkarsh in  his first film has delivered a great performance . At most of the part u wont feel it is his first film . He is very natural . Confident acting multiplied with some method acting  makes him fit for the screen in the same frame where most talented actors of the country like Nawazudin siddiqui and Mithun Da were there . Dialogue delivery was awesome . Acting was good .  Great screen presence with a charming boy look .

Nawaz bhai's acting cannot be described in words. If u need one reason to watch the film it should be nawaz bhai acting .  Some scenes are way awesome . U will know what i m telling if u see the film. 

Ishita Chauhan also performs good support to the film as well as performs her role with confidence and the best possible way she could. Looks are not that appealing but she was good.

Rest of the cast have less roles and delivers good support to the lead cast .

5. If u need second best reason to watch the film it is its music album which delivers some soothing numbers and great tunes by legendary music director , the super hit machine Himesh reshammiya . He is back after a long time and has come back really well . Song  Tera fitoor steals the show with soul full voice of Arijit singh and it is an addiction to the ears. Dil meri na sune is no less , sung by Atif aslam gives a beautiful melody and is a treat to ears where as Holi Biraj Ma is going to be the next dancing number in Holi this year . Others supporting song are okayish . Dil meri na sune female version is there in the movie which is something new . A typical Himesh style song takes us back to his era called tujhse kahan juda hoon main . Lyricist Manoj Muntashir , Kumar and shabbir ahmed have done a good job .

6. The Gadar director Anil sharma has directed the film perfectly . The film is shot well coupled with fantastic use of lights and its picturesque locations .Creative concepts in the use of technology and lights in the song is appreciable . Story is written with a very commercial approach and the film stands out as complete entertainer . Screenplay has also added flavor to the  entertainment factor .

7. The film has touched almost all elements like romance , humor , science ,  action , thriller , college , RAW , revenge drama and emotions . The film is a complete package . Actors like Nawazzdin siddiqui , Mithun Chakraborty , music composer like Himesh Rehsammiya , Singers like Atif aslam , Arijit singh and Jubin nautyal and director like Anil sharma who are genius in their own fields have come up to make a film called Genius which perfectly tells how genius is the film in making .

WHY NOT TO WATCH THE FILM ?

As the film has got low review from well known critics but I have praised it doesn't mean i didn't find flaws..some are -

• The film is very lengthy i.e 168 minutes . Could have been edited well .

• Background music by Monty sharma is not appealing at all. It could have been much better . Specially the part where 'Govinda bolo hari ' was being played was very unprofessional .

• At some parts Utkarsh does overacting where it becomes identifiable . Some scenes he has not done good job but it is ignorable as first film . He is better than many debutantes .

• Utkarsh doesnt dance well and his dance need to be fixed in the songs. Choreographer could have given better steps , it looked like 80's .

• Anil sharma though brings a new science film but he couldn't completely go out of his 90's zone .  

• Make up artist could have fixed Utkasrh hair in many scnes it looked messy .

• Some scenes are illogical like when he is shot from back he shows his stick and it goes back and hits the person who fired it , like seriously ??

• They could have hired a better heroine{eq social media influencer } so that it would have attracted good no. of audience . 

• Although the film has all elements but has not landed well on any completely or perfeclty.I expected a little more romance as the actors were doing great in the romantic scenes . 

Final verdict :

I personally liked the film and its an one time watch . U will miss good dialogues and some entertainment for sure . Appeals intellectual audience as well . Good as action thriller . The team has put out great effort and have made the film with whole heart . This is the best possible launch Utkarsh could have got and as debutante he is very lucky get such a good script . Performed well , its a must watch for Nawaz bhai fans , Himesh bhai fans  .  Gadar fans u must see your youth jeete who has performed very confidently like its not his debut.   

Box office predicition :

first day it has already earned around 1 crore which is very low . Screens pre occupied by Gold and satyamev jayate and clash with Happy phir bhag jaegi will harm the film . Critics have already rated it low. Only good word of mouth can save the producer . 

I give it 3.8 out of 5 and define it in a line as 'complete entertainer.'

I wish it would have been hit as Indian audience love commercial films and this had all that element .
